Agents

Put agents on it.

DCA, trailing stop and grid agents trade your own account while you’re away. Your wallet signs the limits of each one, every order is checked against them, and the key they trade with can never withdraw.

An example DCA agent: it buys $50 of BTC every day, 10 times, inside limits its owner signed with their wallet: up to $52.77 per order and $527.70 in total (the $50 buys plus room for slippage and rounding), with at most 0.5% slippage.

Strategies

Three agents, one job each.

Each agent runs one plan on one market. Build it on the chart, see what it will do before it starts, and sign the limits it can’t go past.

DCA agent

A fixed amount, on a schedule.

What it does

Buys or sells the same dollar amount every hour, 4 hours, 12 hours, day or week, for as many orders as you choose. Each order fills straight away at the market price, within your slippage. A missed run is skipped, never doubled up later.

Build a DCA agent

Good for

  • Building a position over days or weeks
  • Spreading your entry instead of betting on one price
  • Sticking to a plan without watching the chart

You set

  • Buy / long or sell / short
  • The amount per order, and how many orders
  • How often it runs
  • Max slippage, and an optional price limit: runs past it are skipped

Trailing stop agent

A stop that follows the price your way.

What it does

Keeps a stop on the exchange for a position you already hold, and moves it only in your favor as the price runs, your trail distance behind the best mark price. When the price turns back by that distance, the stop closes the position.

Build a trailing stop

Good for

  • Locking in gains on a trend without calling the top
  • Protecting a position overnight or while you travel
  • Letting a winner run with a set give-back

You set

  • The trail distance, as a percent
  • Optionally, the price where trailing starts
  • Max slippage for the close

Grid agent

A ladder of orders across a range.

What it does

Rests buy orders below the price and sell orders above it, evenly spaced between a low and a high you choose. When one fills, it places the opposite order one level away, so each swing through the range can earn the step between levels, less fees. Every order is post-only: a grid never takes liquidity.

Build a grid

Good for

  • Sideways, choppy markets
  • Ranges with a clear floor and ceiling
  • Resting orders at the maker rate instead of crossing the spread

You set

  • The low and high of the range
  • How many levels, and the size of each order
  • A max position: the most it may build either way
  • Optionally, a start price, and a stop beyond the range that can also close what it built

How it works

From the chart to running on its own.

  1. Step 1

    Build it on the chart

Open a market, switch the terminal to Agent mode and pick a strategy. Its orders, levels or stop are drawn on the chart as you set them, before anything is placed.

  2. Step 2

    Sign your limits

Your wallet signs what the agent may do: the market, side, size per order, total, max slippage and end date. The first time, it also approves your Agents key, shown as “nyx automations”.

  3. Step 3

    It runs while you’re away

NyxGo runs the agent on its servers, so it keeps going after you close the tab. Follow its orders and activity on the chart and on the Agents page.

  4. Step 4

    Pause, cancel or revoke

Stop any agent from the app at any time. Revoking the Agents key stops them all and deletes the key. Resuming an agent asks your wallet for a fresh signature.

Safety

Built to stay inside your limits.

Agents trade through a key of their own, and NyxGo signs nothing for them that your wallet hasn’t agreed to.

The Agents key

A separate key, only for agents, renewed every 30 days. Your wallet shows it as “nyx automations”. It can trade, and nothing else.

What the Agents key can and can’t do on your account
Place and cancel ordersOnly inside the limits you signedCan
Withdraw fundsWithdrawals always need your walletCannot
Transfer fundsTo anyone, for any reasonCannot
Approve keys or feesOnly your wallet approves anythingCannot

Your signed limits govern every order NyxGo places. The Agents key itself can only trade, never withdraw, and it stays sealed inside the signer, renewed every 30 days and revocable any time. Read the risk disclosure.

FAQ

Agent questions

More on keys and custody on the security page.

Can an agent withdraw my funds?

No. Agents trade through the Agents key, which can place and cancel orders but can never withdraw or transfer funds. Withdrawals always need your own wallet.

How is the Agents key different from my trading key?

Your trading key lives in your browser and signs the orders you place yourself. The Agents key is a separate key that NyxGo keeps sealed in an isolated signer, so agents can trade while your browser is closed. Neither can withdraw, and both are renewed every 30 days with a quick approval in your wallet. Your wallet shows the Agents key as “nyx automations”.

Which markets can agents trade?

The exchange’s main perps, plus the builder-deployed markets, like stock perps, that NyxGo has enabled for agents. The app tells you when a market isn’t available.

How long does an agent run?

Until its plan is done (a DCA agent’s orders run out, for example), its signed limits reach their end date or you stop it. Agents also run on an active Agents key, renewed every 30 days with one approval in your wallet. If a renewal is missed, agents pause an hour before the 30 days are up and pick up again once you renew.

What happens if NyxGo goes down?

Agents stop until it’s back: nothing new is placed or moved, and missed DCA runs are skipped rather than doubled up later. Orders already on the exchange stay there, including a trailing stop’s last stop, which keeps protecting your position.

How do I stop an agent?

Pause or cancel it on the Agents page in the app. To stop every agent at once, revoke the Agents key: they all stop and NyxGo deletes the key. Resuming an agent asks your wallet for a fresh signature.

Do agents cost extra?

There’s no fee for using agents themselves. Their orders pay the same exchange fee as your own, plus NyxGo’s fee on agents’ orders when one is active, which can differ from the fee on orders you place; the builder shows it before you start. DCA orders fill straight away at the taker rate; grid orders rest on the book at the maker rate.

Can an agent guarantee a price or a profit?

No. An agent follows your plan faithfully inside your limits, but no plan can know where the market goes next. In fast markets an order may fill at a different price than expected, or not fill at all, and like any trading a strategy can lose as well as win. Size each agent to what you’re comfortable with.

Your plan, inside your limits.

Agents are in the NyxGo app. Pick a market, choose a strategy and sign its limits: it runs from there.
